1. My name is Naomi Turk and I'm a junior BFA CDes student with minors in AMCS and Sociology.
2. I am taking this class because it is required for the BFA curriculum. I wanted to learn HTML/CSS during the summer to supplement a portfolio website but did not get around to it.
3. I don't have experience with HTML or CSS, but I took a CS (Java) course in high school. I was really bad at it though.
4. One thing that I hope to learn from this class is that coding can be fun!
5. I expect screen to differ from paper due to the backend process. There's only so much a person can control and I want to understand that to better supplement my own understanding of web.
I think this website is a good example for effective design because it has a consistent visual language and is easy to navigate.
7. Effective Communication Ex.
Although it's not the most aesthetically pleasing, I think this website is a good example for effective communication because the information is easy to attain and navigate.
I think this website works well because it shows consumers what they want to see- top 10 streaming, a "for you" page, etc.
